Imaging appearance of biliary complications after liver transplantation

Abstract:

Biliary complications are the most common complications after liver transplantation, mainly include bile leakage, biliary strictures, biliary sludge and biliary calculi. Imaging examination plays an important role in diagnosis and differential diagnosis, but different modalities vary in advantages and disadvantages. This article aims to review the etiology, clinical manifestations and imaging appearance of biliary complications, especially focus on its ultrasound appearance to raise awareness of common biliary complications after liver transplantation.
