Abstract:

The combined liver-lung transplantation (CLLT) is performed in patients with dual-organ failure in whom survival is not expected with single-organ transplantation alone. Due to the difficulty of the operation and the scarcity of donated organs, only a few transplant centers worldwide have reported relevant cases. This review evaluates the existing literature regarding CLLT, describing the indication, operation choosing, complications, and prognosis.

Key words: Combined liver-lung transplantation, recipient selection, prognosis
