Abstract:

Donor livers with steatosis as a type of marginal donor livers, has become an important channel to expand the source of donor livers. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the degree of steatosis before liver transplantation. The clinical judgment on the state of hepatic steatosis is based on the results of liver biopsy, but it brings a certain risk of trauma to patients. With the continuous development of imaging and biological detection technologies. The clinical methods including ultrasound, CT, MRI, magnetic resonance spectroscopy and biomarkers have been used to evaluate the degree of hepatic steatosis in liver transplantation. This article reviews the research progress of the above clinical methods in assessing the quality of donor liver with steatosis, and analyzes their advantages and disadvantages in clinical application, and provides a reference for the safe, rapid and non-invasive assessment of donor liver with steatosis.
