Abstract:

Lung transplantation has become the only effective treatment for end-stage lung diseases. Living donor lobar lung transplantation has successfully expanded the donor pool and eased the shortage of donor lungs. In order to deal with size mismatch and vascular variability, related surgical techniques have been continuously expanded, and these techniques also have significant reference significance for lobar lung transplantation from donation after citizen′s death. From an ethical point of view, living donor lobar lung transplantation should be limited to critically ill patients with rapid disease progression and difficulty in waiting for donor lungs from donation after citizen′s death. In the case of continued shortage of donor lungs, living donor lobar lung transplantation related techniques will continue to develop.
