Abstract:

A new infectious disease called COVID-2019 had appeared in Wuhan City, Hubei Province since December 2019. Everyone is susceptible to 2019-nCoV, especially older people and those with underlying conditions. Solid organ transplant recipients are exposed to a high risk for 2019-nCoV because their immune systems are weakened by the postoperative administration of immunosuppressants. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Liver Disease Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University has introduced a series of pertinent measures for hospital infection prevention and control to avoid donor-derived infection. In this critical period, enhanced hospital infection prevention and control have been implemented to ensure organ donation in a safe and orderly environment, and preserve all organs for donation.

Key words: 2019-nCoV, Potential donor, Organ donation, Maintenance of organ function, Nosocomial infection, Prevention and control of nosocomial infection
