The application of narrative medicine in organ transplantation

Abstract

Abstract:

Narrative medicine is practiced by medical staff with narrative competence, which can effectively improve the empathic ability, promote doctor-patient communication, alleviate doctor-patient conflicts and improve prognosis of patients. In recent years, many medical staff have felt the value of narrative medicine in organ transplantation and organ donation, and applicated narrative medicine into organ transplantation and organ donation with good results. In this article, we review the application and value of narrative medicine in cultivating empathy and reflective ability, organ donation communication, clinical teaching and health popularization for medical staff in the field of organ transplantation.
