"Land ends here, sea begins here" : machine perfusion becomes the new normal for liver graft preservation

Abstract

Abstract:

The 2018 Joint International Congress of International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), The European Liver and Intestine Transplant Association (ELITA) and The Liver Intensive Care Group of Europe (LICAGE) were held in Lisbon, Portugal in May 2018. The experts from all over the world shared their experiences on liver transplantation. Machine perfusion is an attractive topic, the content of which increases every year. This editorial highlights the most innovative and impactful presentations in machine perfusion, containing liver graft preservation, graft quality evaluation, ex-situ intervention and basic research.
