Abstract:

Kidney transplantation is the most effective treatment for end stage renal disease at present, but the rejection after kidney transplantation can seriously influence the prognosis, especially the renal allograft failure caused by rejection. The underlying mechanisms of rejection after kidney transplantation have not been clearly stated. Recently, besides HLA, many scholars have found that major histocompatibility complex class Ⅰ chain related gene A (MICA) also plays an important role leading to rejection. In this article, we reviewed the research progress of rejection after kidney transplantation which mediated by MICA.
